All About Tomatoes
Tomato is a vegetable plant. A tomato can be sweet, tangy, tart, or well balanced. The sugar in the tomato is what causes the sweet flavor, while others say they taste more tart. With tomatoes you can make salsa, tomato sauce, BLTs, or baked tomato slices.
When to Transplant
Tomatoes are ready for transplanting into the garden when the seedlings are 3 to 4 inches tall.
